Dispossessed but Defiant (art exhibit)
The CJPME Foundation (Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East) and St. Andrew’s United Church present Dispossessed but Defiant, an international photo exhibition in the Sanctuary. This free exhibition examines different aspects of indigenous peoples’ experiences of dispossession, and their inspiring struggles to resist these processes. The CJPME Foundation offers this exhibition with the conviction that art can awaken awareness of our common humanity and enable us to envision a brighter future despite the bleakness of the past.

Run by the Thomas Merton Society of Canada, this event will celebrate the life of celebrated poet-monk Thomas Merton. Merton (1914-1968) was a prolific author, penning more than 60 books and hundreds of poems and articles on topics ranging from monastic spirituality to civil rights, nonviolence, and the nuclear arms race. Act/Fast: Spiritual Practices for a Climate in Crisis (Zoom discussion group)
This Lenten devotional invites us to deepen our love for Creation and take action or fast for a climate in crisis.Join Rev. Judith on Monday mornings on Zoom throughout Lent as we consider our relationship with God and God's Creation. A donation of $10 would be appreciated to offset the cost of each book.
